After the stretch of a new day, a large breakfast waits for the guest. Breads, fruits, cakes, natural juices, yoghurt and muesli made in Pousada Azul Maria are among the deliciousness, in the meal served from 8 to 11 am.
But the restaurant goes further. The menu signed by chef Maria Fernanda Chueiri, from the restaurant Mesa da Nena, propose the comfort food – that kind of culinary that recall the familiarity of childhood's meals and brings pleasant feelings. It is a simple gastronomy, but it cares about the quality in preparing and the right choice of ingredients. Delicacies such as the carrot's soup with ginger and the fettuccine with mozzarella are in the carte, which is always made with fresh aliments of the season.
Besides the culinary flavors, the visual atmosphere is for being tasted too. Lighted by the main wall of glass, the ambient of bright colours has big sculptures and a small corner of the material called “pau a pique”. It is used in popular Brazilian constructions, but in Azul Maria, it gains a contemporary look with the violet light that focus it, lively yet by the soft sound of current water under a glass's plate. But it is in the ceiling that lives the biggest decorative attraction. The huge copper's luster surrounds phosphorescent points that shine as stars, with a file that blink as a comet.
