Pousada Azul Maria has as premise offers to its guests the sensation of hominess, like being in a house full of comfort and special features. To reach such goal, there had been selected the best professionals to work together, creating therefore an unique venture, that joins refinement, charm and excellence in serve.

The headmaster wanted a construction with Bali's atmosphere. The hired professional was enthusiast of the lightness of Bahia south's houses, architectonic school that he named “baiano chique” (something as chic from Bahia). After three months, an unique project went out the clipboard of the architect and engineer Luiz Anchieta. Along 1.200m², Azul Maria's building broke with the monotony of the right angle, in a ensemble all aslope.

One of the marks of the architecture is the copious use of ecological wood, many times with glass. The material is found in different tones and textures along all the ambients. As, for instance, at the cover of the outer area. There, the Eucalyptus is used in an original form: in small pieces imitating the called “biriba” (species that is often used in popular Brazilian houses, but that can't no longer be removed). The same mode of working the material gives extra charm to the beach's tents of Pousada. “I've always seen the biriba's fences in the interior of the country, over the car's rallys I often do. And I had the idea of using the Eucalyptus to create the same effect”, tells the architect. Inspired by the buildings of Bahia's south, he used also handcraft's elements as the roofing tiles of “taubilha” – material originated by the remnant of wood.     

Functional and beautiful, Azul Maria's architecture motivate a visit, just for itself.
